We are saddened to announce that Miikki Kunttu wil

We are saddened to announce that Miikki Kunttu will no longer continue as Shereign's drummer. We reached a point where choices must be made with health first and the final decision was made together. Below are Miikki's and the band's comments about the reasons behind this decision.

Miikki's comments to the fans and to the band:

"There are situations in life when choices just have to be made, they are not easy or difficult, good or bad.
With this decision, I went as far as possible, and it was definitely not an easy one. My health has just gone to the point where I can no longer continue with Shereign.
If I would, the band would have to refuse most of the gigs. I don't want to be a hindrance to the band's development and career.

With my other band @fearofdomination , the situation is different, and with them I can continue playing the drums, because I can bring my own customized electric drums to every gig, which would not fully serve Shereign's musical world.

I want to thank all of you. Without you there would be no us. ❤️

Sara, Joonas, Jani and Timo. My words are not enough to express the feeling and the amount of gratitude I feel when I think about our time together. Our journey together ends now as a band, but the most important thing is that I have made good and dear friends, who will be in my heart forever. ❤️ THANK YOU. ❤️❤️."

Band comments:

"We wanted to give Miikki all the time to get himself back behind the drums, but the announcement came from Miikki that he can't continue. The shows for this spring will be done with the help of the drummer Miikka Tikka.

It is heart aching that many years of together in the band ends with Miikki. However, we can be happy that the years-long friendship will not end here. Miikki will always be a part of Shereign one way or another whether he wants it or not!
